Laura Hunter Drago is a writer & producer in Los Angeles, California. She wrote and produced the Austin Film Festival-winning audio fiction series The Crime at Camp Ashwood, produced the feature film To the New Girl, and the podcast, St. Mary’s School (for Children with the Stigmata) which The Mary Sue placed on a Top 10 List of Horror Podcasts.
Her work focuses on female-led content in the thriller and mystery genres. A former actress, she is passionate about creating work for women in the entertainment industry and fostering an environment of safety and inclusivity on any project she has a hand in.
Laura works with her two production companies: New Girl Pictures and Dragon Hunter Productions to create work she is passionate about. She is an alumna of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. And, though she now considers herself a retired and recovering actress, she remains a proud SAG-AFTRA member.

Laura offers consulting services for both writing and production of audio fiction podcasts, as well as a new online course through Udemy called “Bring Your Audio Fiction Podcast to Life.”
Laura is also available for speaking engagements at conferences, on podcasts, or in classroom settings. She primarily speaks on writing for audio fiction, women in the entertainment industry, and motivational topics about creating your own work as a creative person.
She has been featured on a number of podcasts and will be presenting this summer at the Podcast Movement Conference in Washington, DC.
